Our Story
Hey! Welcome to Serenity Bakery! I'm Anna, and I'd love to tell you a little more about my business.
Our bakery began in 2009 with my sister, Mary, who named it Serenity Farms and Bakery. What started as a small and unknown booth at local farmers markets around Valley and Opelika gradually became something Mary and her customers looked forward to week after week.
As she started perfecting her sourdough recipe, I started learning how to bake. As I got more comfortable, I would tag along with her to her markets, and the business became something we bonded over.
When Mary got married a few years later, it was up to me to keep our bakery going. In 2024, I decided to simplify our naming to Serenity Bakery. To me, this was the best name to reflect where we are now while not deviating from our roots. Today, we keep our tradition alive by focusing on sourdoughs, cinnamon rolls, and other baked goods inspired by you guys.
You can find us every Saturday in the summer at Auburn Town Creek Farmers Market. It'd be our joy to connect with you over some delicious bread.
I can't say thanks enough for being here, and I'm so excited to bake you something.
